Another Happy Day

Starring Ellen Barkin, Demi Moore, Kate Bosworth, Thomas Haden Church, Ezra Miller

Synopsis:

When Lynn Hellman and her sons Elliot and Ben arrive at Lynn's parents' Maryland estate for the wedding of her oldest son, it's chaos as usual: Elliot has to pretend he spent the last few months in Sweden when he really was in drug rehab, Lynn's father Ian's pacemaker won't stop going off, and Lynn's optimist mother Doris and control freak sister Donna won't stop trying to make everything look perfect.

As wedding festivities are set in motion, Lynn's ex-husband shows up with his pretty younger wife, Tammy, and the two woman fight for the right to walk the groom down the aisle. Then Lynn's daughter Alice arrives, and Lynn worries she won't be up to serving as Maid of Honor - or confronting the father she hasn't seen in seven years. But Alice, the only member of the family Elliot really trusts, isn't quite as fragile as her mother thinks.

Exhibiting wedding hysterics when mothers and daughters and sisters and brothers collide in a laugh-out-loud tribute to family matters, similar to situational comedies such as My Big Fat Greek Wedding and Four Weddings and a Funeral, writer-director Sam Levinson portrays amusing altercations and life-changing events which can only occur among relatives.
